What Is PGC

INTENSE LEARNING
.
Point Guard College (PGC) is an intense, no-nonsense learning experience for high school and college age young men and women.  Point Guard College is not your typical basketball camp and is called a "college" for a reason.
.

"Most of the players at the PGC sessions had been to lots of other basketball camps - Five-Star, Nike, Michael Jordan's Flight School - you name it.  But without exception, they all told me the same thing: 'I learned more in five days at Point Guard College than at all the other camps combined."
.
- Ken Friedman, Director of Coaching Development for Nova Scotia, Canada
"I would highly recommend Point Guard College to any male or female player who wants to take their game to the next level. It’s the best basketball camp in America for teaching players how to ‘Think the Game’."
.
- Rick Carlisle, 2002 NBA Coach of the Year

"Having a daughter who is an enthusiastic graduate of PGC, I can say without reservation that the conceptual methodology of ‘thinking the game’ of basketball combined with foundational skill development is unparalleled in the basketball camp industry. If you have only one camp to attend this summer, make it Point Guard College. If you are going to attend five camps this summer, make them all Point Guard College."
.
- Greg Brittenham, NBA Assistant Coach for Player Development, New York Knicks

.
INTELLIGENT TRAINING
..
Our curriculum features three distinct courses for athletes and coaches that have been specifically designed to teach players to train effectively, play the game intelligently, to be “coaches on the court”, and to be leaders during games, in practices and in everyday life.

"For a mature player serious about improving his or her play, I think this is one of the best learning camps in the world.  It is an intensive indoctrination into how to be a good leader, play smart, minimize turnovers, and take control of a game.  It is for students of the game, thirsty for knowledge that can give them an edge when they face superior players."
.
- Rick Allison, Coach and Director of Lone Star Basketball Academy

.

“The video segments that PGC uses to support each and everyone of their teaching points are probably the most beneficial aspect of the camp. Seen on a huge, wall-sized screen, these clips not only hold the attention of the ‘students,’ but reinforce the validity of each teaching point.”
.
- Christian Papp, Jr. Varsity Basketball Coach, Hammond, Indiana
