Dave Daniels

A two-time All Conference athlete at CCU, Dave was named 1993 Conference Most Valuable Player, ranked second nationally in assists and helped lead his team to two CAC titles. After graduation Daniels spent time with two CBA teams and with the Rocky Mountain Review Summer Nuggets team, before joining Athletes in Action in 1994.

Dave's experience as a player culminated in the 1998 World Championships and in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, where he represented Canada on their national team. Daniels served as an assistant coach for the Cougars in 1996, and took the helm of the Cougar Men's Basketball program as Head Coach in the fall of 2005.  He also spent six years as a head coach for Athletes in Action.

Entering his fifth season at the helm of CCU men's basketball, Daniels led the Cougars to an RMAC East Division Championship, a 2008 NCAA Division II National Tournament appearance, a 2009 NCCAA National Finals berth and was named the 2007-08 RMAC Coach of the Year. In 2004 Daniels was inducted into the CCU Hall of Fame.
