What is S.C.H.A.P.E.?
The acronym "SCHAPE" was invented by Dick DeVenzio, the founder of Point Guard College.
Each letter in the acronym stands for one of six key ingredients that we inject into everything we do in order to make PGC, and you, the best we can be.
Spirit — Our passion and enthusiasm. We inspire and get inspired by helping athletes and coaches get in touch with what they truly love about the game.
Communication — We communicate our values in all that we say and do. We utilize a creative vocabulary that makes our teaching and communication memorable and effective.
Hustle — We consistently look to do more than our share and more than what is expected.
Approach — Our actions are always consistent with our purpose. We are always conscious of and consistent in our approach, making sure that it is sourced from our values.
Precision — We pay attention to the little things in all we do and maintain an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Enhancement — We continually look for ways to make our organization, our curriculum, our staff, and the athletes that we work with, better.
By SCHAPE-ing ourselves and every aspect of our organization on a moment-to-moment basis, we SCHAPE the careers of the athletes and coaches that we serve, and also the way that they live their lives.
